summer gone

You know when school starts summer is over. I love summer. Warm weather, no homework, just hanging out. Summers are great. BUT after 3 month of kids arguing, watching a lot of TV, and mowing the lawn every 3 days I am ready for school and for fall. I can't believe my kids are so big. Derek is a senior, Bryce is a freshman, and Abbey is in 5th grade. They grew up fast. Where does the time go? 

We had a great rain storm the other day. I took this picture out side my front door.

On August 31 we went to the open house of the Brigham City Temple. It was very pretty. But when are temples not pretty. We then went to get ice cream. It was a great day. Derek a little camera shy.

What a fun week we had. Bryce turned 15 and got his drivers permit. He was very excited.  Two teenage drivers, I may never get a car ever again.

Bryce also finished his eagle project he painted fire hyraids. He had 27 young men and leaders help him they were done it 2 hours. It was great.

more camping

During the summers the boys seem to go on a lot of camping trips. Every year Evan dad plans a trip up to the uintahs. Usually it is just for the boys. This year abbey was invited to go. she was a little nervous to go since she had never been camping before. She had the best time. she caught her first fish and cooked it over the fire and ate it. Ron took up his 4 wheeler which Derek loves riding. I guess Bryce got the award for the most fish. They tell me he was catching them like crazy. 

Derek, David and Spencer decided to get into this creek and show off how tuff they really are. Evan said the water was freesing cold.

A family who paints together stays together.

So i had been telling Abbey i would paint her room. Well i finally got around to doing it. She said she wanted a turquoise color (her favorite color) so i went to the paint store and picked out this color. It is always scary picking out a color. But this one turned out great. She loves it. Everyone helped which was so nice. Even Derek, His height was great to get up close to the ceiling.

summer fun

Derek, Bryce asnd Evan all went up to the uintahs to go camping with the scouts in our ward. They hiked 20 miles round trip. They had a good time. One of the days it rained so hard that Bryce's tent  was flooded with water.
Usually when the boys all leave Abbey and I go somewhere together. We went up to Bear lake. It was fun. All we do there is swim, watch movies and go get ice cream shakes. What a life.

Wisdom teeth

well, welcome to the bloggers world for me. I never thought I would start a blog but my parents just left to go on their mission, so I thought this would be a easy way for them to keep up with the Nyman family news. 
Just yesterday Derek got to have all four of his wisdom teeth taken out. He did great. When he was in recovery he kept asking "What just happened". so i would tell him he had his wisdom teeth taken out. he would just stare and me. I could tell he was so confused. Then a few minutes later he would ask the same thing.
